Beef with ginger sauce and bell peppers

This recipe was adapted from Grace Young’s Breath of a Wok, which is now my favourite cookbook.  I highly recommend it to anyone serious about cooking delicious, authentic Chinese food with a wok (or even without one).

The original recipe calls for green peppers, but I made them a separate dish so my vegetarian husband could also enjoy them.

Man, that was a good lunch, if I’m allowed to say so myself.
